With bachelor’s degrees in psychology and nursing, caring for others is an integral part of Colleen Soffer’s personal and professional life. “Before my nursing career, I worked as a fashion model. I then spent years working as an ER and surgical and recovery nurse, caring for patients at some of the most difficult moments of their lives,” recalls Soffer. “Outside of medicine, I coached girls’ basketball for 10 years and later served as the commissioner of a local youth basketball league consisting of nearly 800 boys and girls. Watching kids build confidence and teamwork on the court has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life.” As she looks to the future, the wife of Fontainebleau Development chairman and CEO Jeffrey Soffer is eager to continue her philanthropic work. On Nov. 12, she will co-chair the Make-A-Wish Nevada Fashion Luncheon at Papi Steak at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, where TWP will serve as this year’s presenting fashion sponsor in anticipation of its new retail store at the posh property.
