Tucked in the French Quarter of New Orleans, this 1830s Creole cottage once belonged to legendary movie star Jessica Lange. The Feud: Capote vs. The Swans actress owned the 3,900-square-foot residence from 2013 to 2018, when she was filming American Horror Story in the Big Easy. The two-story main house has reclaimed wood floors, custom millwork, and updated mechanical systems. A jasmine-filled pool court connects to a carriage house that was renovated to include a new kitchen, Italian marble surfaces, and refinished windows and doors. It’s asking $1.875 million with Shelley Lawrence of Ricci Real Estate.
Georgia O’Keeffe’s Neighboring Estate

Legendary American painter Georgia O’Keeffe spent the final years of her life in New Mexico, residing primarily on a 20-acre Santa Fe property she called Sol y Sombra (though she maintained two other properties—Abiquiú and Ghost Ranch—elsewhere in the state). One of O’Keeffe’s closest confidants lived next door, on a nearly eight-acre estate with sweeping desert mountain vistas. Now, that adobe home, which was owned by Juan Hamilton, just hit the market for the first time in 20 years. Listed for $13.75 million with Grace Elliott of Sotheby’s International Realty—Santa Fe, the property comes with a three-bedroom main residence, guest casita, pool house, tennis court, and an outdoor kitchen.
John Lautner’s Dahlstrom House

Celebrated architect John Lautner was known for his influential residential designs across Southern California. But the Frank Lloyd Wright protégé only crafted one home in the city of Pasadena—and now, that property is available for $2.675 million, listed with Compass broker Robert Moore. Known as the Dahlstrom House, the 1,900-square-foot gem dates to 1949 and is equipped with two bedrooms and two baths. Among the preserved midcentury details are a circular fireplace, glass walls, and a teak-paneled office. Japanese-inspired gardens round out the quarter-acre property.
Fire Island Pyramid House

One of the most recognizable houses on New York’s Fire Island just hit the market for $3.3 million. Listed by Esteban Gomez of Compass, the Pyramid House was designed by Argentine-born architect Julio Kaufman in 1960 and has been periodically refreshed and expanded over the decades to its present 2,100-square-foot size. Now featuring three bedrooms, the property is just moments from the beach—the federally protected Fire Island National Seashore—and has a saltwater pool plus a soaring great room with views of the Atlantic.
A Frank Gehry Loft in Los Angeles
A loft in a building designed by Frank Gehry is now for sale.
Pritzker Prize–winning architect Frank Gehry passed away last year at age 96, leaving behind a towering legacy that included the unfinished Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, set to open in December. Now, you can own one of his earlier creations, as a residential loft in a 1992 Santa Monica complex just hit the market for $2.39 million. The six-unit building was designed in conjunction with Gehry’s close friend, artist Chuck Arnoldi, and originally served as artist studios and lofts. The three-bedroom triplex, which spans nearly 2,600 square feet, is listed with Brandon Assanti of The Agency.
Angelina Jolie’s Estate
Back in May, Angelina Jolie listed a legendary Los Angeles address linked to Old Hollywood: her Laughlin Park home that once belonged to famed filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille. The house is still on the market—available for $29.85 million with Ernie Carswell of Sotheby’s—but it made waves this week thanks to an item in The New York Post. Reportedly, pop icon Madonna (whose former London home is on the rental market) is eyeing the property, which features an 11,000-square-foot main house built in 1913. Prospective buyers should take note.
